Reminder: Guild meeting Tuesday!

Happy Valentine's Day! The chill is still in the air, but it will soon be time for us to gather together and rejoice in each other's company at our next guild meeting, Tuesday February 20th.

The Batty Lady has had to postpone, so this month we'd like to invite everyone who has made wool quilts, mats, bags, and anything else to bring them to share them during a special show and share so that we can all stay wooly warm!

  • Any and all wool projects you've made to share.
  • Your $25 for the 2018 membership.
  • If you were born on February, June, August, or November, you are invited to bring a snack to share (but it's not required!).
  • Bottled water or other non-alcoholic drink

See you all Tuesday!

I'm falling in love with these jokes!

Comic by Scott Nickel
Q: What did the toast say to the butter on Valentine’s Day?
A: "You’re my butter half!"

Q: What did one mushroom say to the other on Valentine’s Day?
A: "There’s so mushroom in my heart for you!"

Q: What did the whale say to his girlfriend on Valentine’s Day?
A: "Whale you be mine?"

Two antennae met on a roof, fell in love, and got married. Their wedding ceremony wasn’t fancy. The reception, however, was excellent.

A quilter runs into her friend at the quilt shop. “You’re not going to believe this,” she said. “I found an old lamp the other day. I rubbed it and a genie popped out. He explained that genies don’t give three wishes anymore, but he did offer me a choice between one of two wishes. He could give me a better memory or turn my husband into the greatest lover ever.”

“Tough choice,” said her friend. “Which one did you choose?”

“That’s the thing. I can’t remember.”

Your 2018 Guild dues of $25 are due at the February meeting, so be sure to get your money in to ensure you'll be included in the 2018 RQG membership book. Checks are welcome but as a reminder, they may not be cashed immediately, so you are also welcome to bring cash or cashier's check. Thank you!

The Quilts of Valor National Sew Day is this Saturday February 3rd! Click here for more information.

And another plug for our Calendar - there's a bunch of quilt shows coming up around southern California if you didn't get enough of a fix at Road, so be sure to check out the Calendar! If you know of a show or other quilting or sewing related even that you think everyone should know about that's missing, please let me know!
