Speaking of members, we welcomed 6 visitors to our meeting - Cathy, Julie, Lori, Rhoda, Cathy, and Carol! Welcome! Please feel free to join us again!
Gloria H. showed a few beautiful ChildHelp quilts that have been donated and told us about an opportunity to help make more every Thursday 10a-4pm at Easy Quilting Corner.
Susan C. reported we had a very successful Quilt of Valor Sew Day with 19 quilters, one of whom is a veteran herself, in attendance, and 1 veteran father who manned the ironing board (go Dad!). Please let Susan know if you still have any tops to be finished or if you're available to quilt a top or bind a finished quilt.
We also received a ton of neonatal quilts - woohoo! Keep them coming - the babies, families, and nurses really appreciate our efforts!
Happy Bags for 2018 are coming along, Dawn informed us, and she asked us to keep in mind two age ranges that we're a bit behind on: ages 0-4 and ages 5-9. Contact Dawn if you have any questions. We're working on scheduling our next Happy Bag Sew Day, so watch this space.
Sandy received a few beautiful survivor bags for the Rape Crisis Center and she has several kits available so contact her if you can help stitch up a few.
Our next guild retreat is coming up in May at the beautiful Vina De Lestonnac (aka The Nunnery) in Temecula and Barbara announced we still have two spots available, so please let her know. The balance of the cost is due by the April meeting, so please remember to get your checks, cash, or money order in by then.
Elly announced that our next Block of the Month series will start in March - and don't forget to bring your completed 2017 BOM Positive/Negative block quilts AND your completed Row by Row quilts to show at the March meeting. 50% challenges, where we bring 100% completed quilts, are due at the April meeting.
We had a fantastic Show and Share like always. Be sure to check out the photos!
