July BOM!

Hi all my fellow BOM makers.  The newest BOM directions and template has been posted.  Make sure when printing the template that the box next to scale at 100% is marked.  This ensures that the template is printed at the correct size. Or create your own rose pattern. Have fun.

Our Meeting Tuesday

The June Meeting is this Tuesday, June 16th.  It is our Summer Potluck!  As always thank you for the goodies you bring for the potluck and the wonderful Show N Share!

Our speaker will be Cindy Myers who lives in Southern California and has been quilting since the early 80’s and has been teaching for more than 14 years. She is a certified instructor for Judy Niemeyer.

The workshop will be on Saturday, June 20 from 9-4 and there are only 20 spaces available. This is  the time to learn Niemeyer’s paper piecing techniques that are both timesaving, organized, and addictive. The cost for this workshop is $50 and this includes the $28 Vintage Compass pattern which contains all printed paper for the quilt (no need to make copies or trace). Call Susan M to reserve your spot while there are still some available.

Non-Quilting Challenge

We had a great non-quilting challenge response.  There were so many of us we had two rows of participants on the stage at the showing.  So many great ideas and executions from crocheted rug, gorgeous bags, wine totes, grip pads, table runner, scrub brush, stuffed toys, lots more plus the most darling little dresses.  Here's Reagan demonstrating her Grandmother Christine's creations:

She the cutest little model in her zoo dress.  Thank you, Elly for a fun challenge.

If you have or take a photo of your non-quilt challenge, please send to Angie N and it will be added to this post. Thanks!
