Free to Inspire your Creativity

and because we know you like other creative outlets along with quilting, here is the latest from Interweave:

Workshop FYI

From Marguerette's Supply List (I'll post it as soon as I can scan it):    "A must have for the workshop is a Foam Core Board or something to use as a design wall, 20" by 30"or 30" by 40". Anything larger will not work."

And here's the FYI - 99 Cents Only store have the 20 x 30 boards for 99 cents in their stationary aisle. At least the one on Arlington Ave/91 Freeway does - I bought one this morning.

Need info for this May 24th workshop? Go here and here. Sign ups at the April meeting.

Thank You Blue Bird!!

It was great to have Janet come to give us a trunk show at the March meeting.  If you weren't at the meeting here are some of her fabulous quilts she shared with us, courtesy of our photographer, Mary T:

Some of these quilts are kits she sells at the Blue Bird Quilts & Gallery in Grand Terrace. If you haven't been there, you're in for a treat.

Bears Repeating...

In past years we had a guild Yard Sale in August.  Well, last year we missed out as we didn't have time for such an event.  So this year - it's An April Spring Cleaning!  Much like the yard sale, this is an opportunity while you're spring cleaning your sewing area to weed out what you don't want any more - be it orphan blocks, scraps, notions you no longer use, UFOs you're no longer wanting to finish - whatever quilty stuff - bring it to the April Spring Cleaning at the April meeting and sell or give it away then.  Bring some change, find a spot and watch it disappear.

A reminder - April 15th is our next guild meeting. No Mystery Box or Thrifty Corner.

More on May Workshop

Here are more kit choices other than you ones you saw here .  For information about this Simplified Applique workshop, go here .  Do read this. It will explain everything.  I'll post photos of background in another post.  You should try not to wait until after her lecture to decide as she needs time to assemble the kits.  I'm sure she can do some, but the more already picked will help facilitate the workshop. Photos and signup sheets will be available at the April meeting.
