It is with sadness that I share the news of the passing of Florence's son. Thank you for your thoughts, prayers, and care of our friend."

From the Raincross Quilt Guild Board:
"Dear quilting friends, this post is to let you know that one of our members, Florence P., is going through a difficult time.
We have learned that her son has experienced several medical emergencies in the last couple of days and remains in the hospital. Florence has reached out to request prayers for her son and family as they navigate a deeply uncertain time. We will do our best to update you on his condition as the family releases information."
Thank you to everyone who has stepped up and helped purchase supplies to support Jeff and Yvonne's missionary work in Uganda! We are still looking for items and Paula W. has sent me an updated list. She will begin collecting items from you starting April 1st, so please contact her to arrange a pick up and thank you again for your support.
Get your Zoom faces on - it's almost time for another exhilarating virtual guild meeting! Guild members who need the Zoom information, please post in the comments below or send me an email or look at the pinned announcement in our Raincross Quilt Guild Facebook page.
We will be sharing our 2020 Raincross Quilt Guild Block of Month quilts, the fabulous Be My Neighbor from Moda Fabrics, so please be sure to email or text Cassandra your regular Show and Share and BOM pictures as soon as you can!

You've got a few days left to finish up your Raincross Quilt Guild 2020 BOM Be My Neighbor and get your pictures to Cassandra G. for Show and Share. If you've already finished and possibly shared pictures of your finished quilt on the Raincross Quilt Guild Facebook page, please be sure to resend them to Cassandra.

The Weinstein's have purchased plane tickets and, God willing, are planning on returning to their missionary work in Uganda the beginning of May. To prepare for their return trip, we are working on gathering supplies that they will need for their work helping the wonderful people of Uganda.
Paula W. is leading this charge and has the following to say:
"Hello!
The following is a list of supplies that Yvonne Weinstein has made to help her when she returns to Uganda at the beginning of May. If you would like to purchase any of the items it would be appreciated. If it is easier for you to donate money and have me purchase items, I can do that also. If you have questions, give me, Paula W., a text/call/email/smoke signal and I will try to answer them. Thanx! Crazy Paula
We've included some shopping suggestions below, but please don't feel obligated to get specifically those. Many times it's helpful to see the kind of item we're looking for, so feel free to shop your local stores, other websites, or, if you are an Amazon queen, order away!
Once again, thanx!"
As announced in our February guild meeting, our first of 5 monthly virtual quilting groups are starting this week! Join us via Zoom for a little stitchin', a little gabbin', and a lot of laughs and love! All groups have been added to the Raincross Quilt Guild calendar, but as a reminder, here are the groups and meeting times (in Pacific time):
1st Wednesday of the month 6pm-9pm: Method Quilters - A nod to the pre-COVID sewing group that met at the 1st Methodist Church in Riverside the same night
2nd Saturday of the month 9am-12pm: Sew Your Socks Off - get up early and quilt with us!
2nd Saturday of the month 9pm-12am: Pajama Time - calling all night owls who sew under the light of the moon!
3rd Wednesday of the month 6pm-9pm: Woolie Wednesday - dig out your wool applique projects (or whatever you'd like, we're not the boss of you) and join us!
4th Tuesday of the month 6pm-9pm: Sew Much Fun - round out the month with us!
We will use the same Zoom meeting link for all 5 meetings, which will be posted in a permanent announcement in the Raincross Quilt Guild Facebook group. If you don't do Facebook, please post in the comments below and it will be emailed to you.
See you online Wednesday at 6pm!
