More This and That & Contest
Here are the Winners from Paducah, or in other words Eye Candy for you.
What will Susan pick next for our Riverside BOM? Let's have a guessing game. Fat Quarter to first member who guesses right. FQ will be awarded at the next meeting (May). Leave a comment to record your guess. And be sure to give your name (only first name, First Letter of Last name - ie: Angie N), so we'll know who is the winner.
From BLOGLAND:
Freebies at Sophie Junction! She's got lots of cool stuff.
Another video - this one on curved piecing. She uses a special foot, but if you put some tape to mark your 1/4" seam, you can do the same as she did. I mark my center notch by folding the pieces in half and ironing the center fold. Try it! You have curves in this month's BOM.

ReplyDeleteThe Lilly-Tulip Dixie cup, the tank at Fairmount Park, the bridge over the Santa Ana River between West Riverside and Riverside. I know I'm only supposed to have one but all three are floating around in my head.
ReplyDeleteI think that the Fox theatre would be a fun block to do right now during the spring ticket season.
ReplyDelete~ Gracie M.
Wow, I just thought of another idea...(Is it okay to submit two?) What about the Wood Streets? This area was highlighted recently with both the Garden Walk, and the neighborhood-wide yard sales. I live in the Wood Streets and "wood" :) love to see it featured in the quilt. ~ Gracie M.

ReplyDeleteHi, Billie - The Riverside BOM is our BOM based on our home town of Riverside, CA and what makes it famous (sort of, LOL). You'll find it under the tab BOM, etc.
ReplyDeleteThanks for asking,

Anyone who drives along Victoria Avenue knows Susan has to make a Victoria Avenue block. If you haven't seen it lately, take a drive along the avenue soon.
ReplyDeleteYipee! May 15th BOM was Victoria Avenue! Funny how much we get excited over winning a fat quarter. Mine was invisible but no rush; next month's mtg is fine. Now to get going on the block.
ReplyDeleteOur winner is Chris. She guessed it was Palm Trees on Victoria Ave.
