I always thought Folk Art looked like what I did when I first started sewing. Beginning crooked stitches, out of shape appliques, leftover miss-matched fabric, bits and pieces of wool, buttons, and felt. Put it altogether and it looked pretty.
Quilting that doesn't have to be exact, more primitive style.
