More on Bindings

Susan C showed us a fabulous and easy way to bind our quilts.  I'm going to try it with my next quilt. Browsing through the NET, I found a great demonstration of how to bring the backing forward and bind a quilt with mitered corners.  Check it out here. See middle of article. Photos below just to give you a visual on how it's done. In real life I would have folded the back to meet the top of the quilt and then done what the photos show to have no frayed edges.  If you don't have one-two inches to do this, just iron a seam allowance over.

This is what I did with most of my first quilts. Didn't bind the way you guys all consider the right way until about my 30th quilt.
