Two Weeks...

before our next meeting on the 19th!  The January Baby quilt pattern is up.  Better late than never - and there are two weeks left in which to make one.  This month's is from the Go Big book by Moda which they graciously gave us permission to use.  It's another easy one - all HSTs.  Pink and blue would look sweet.

Sorry for the delay - a broken hip and the holidays doesn't leave much time for the computer.

What quilty things are you up to?  Leave us a comment about your quilty stuff and you'll have a chance to win a special Quilty box at the January meeting. Kind of like the Mystery Box but miniaturized.  You have until Jan 18th to comment.

PS:  If you post using anonymous please leave your name thusly:  First Name and Last Initial.

PPS:  If you make and bring a baby quilt of any pattern to the January Mtg - you'll get an extra chance for each you make to win the Box.  Just let me know by the 18th in a comment as I will be drawing on that day after 8 PM.

  1. Almost finished with my first T-shirt quilt for one of my sons. Made over a dozen quilt tops for kids, to be donated to my church quilting group. Doing lots of sorting, and organizing after the Christmas production. I have been cutting confetti and stuffing dog beds. Finished an American Flag quilt and a Hunter's Star using my quilt block cutting machine. Remaking many heart pillows for the hospital patients.

  2. I decided to gift family with 'time' this year so this year I guided my granddaughter and my adopted granddaughter and they each made their first quilts, pillowcases, and mug rugs for Christmas gifts. The joy they exhibited as those gifts were opened and appreciated was absolutely priceless. Since then, I'm staying busy putting the house back to some semblance of order so I can start on my 50% challenges.

Boy, I can't hold a candle to these two eager beavers! Finally gave my niece and her husband a quilt that was promised to them when they got married (over a year ago!), finished a wall-hanging from the last retreat, got more of what my daughter calls my "fabric museum" in order, and finished a Christmas wall-hanging (for NEXT Christmas! Ha!)

  4. I finally finished a quilt top that was cut out as I babysat my 3 month old granddaughter......she is 9 years old now. I had my granddaughter over the holidays and together we made 2 doll beds for 18 inch dolls with sewn mattresses, reversible pillows, and reversible blankets.

  5. I finished a t-shirt quilt for my friend Betty C. for her daughter. This is the fourth t-shirt quilt I have made for her, one for each of her grown children! I also made a blue and white rag quilt for/with my daughter. That was great FUN!
I hope to finish a few more things before our next meeting. I'm working on the BOM flower blocks! I ran across my UFO list from a few years ago (2009) yikes time to finish some of those beauties!
