Raincross Giving Away a Singer Featherweight

To celebrate our 25th anniversary of the Raincross Quilt Guild, an anonymous donor has graciously donated this beautiful restored Singer Featherweight to give away to one lucky member of the guild!

All you need to do to enter is add a comment to this post saying how much you love being a member of the Raincross Quilt Guild. The winner will be announced and receive this beautiful machine at our next guild meeting. Good luck!

  4. That's a really rotten joke! I was so excited :) and then shot down. :(
We really do have the best quilt guild though, and the best leader. That's why we've been going for 25 years. <3

  10. Ah Ha, Cassandra. You had me there for a minute. Until I read the fine print! I did not know we were celebrating year 25 either. I love the Raincross Quilt Guild and all the wonderful people in it. Our illustrious Leader has so much energy I wish she would give me some. I have made some wonderful friends in this group. And thank you to the remarkable Board for striving to make this a fun gathering. Plus I have learned to paper piece, how to sandwich a quilt, make Quilts of Valor and kids quilts in Friendship Group. What a wonderful Guild we have.

  15. Cassandra!! I'm with Carol: Rotten, rotten!! All I could think was: "be still my heart!!" But then look how many comments you got! :)
I do love our quilt guild and even though I was part of the first members, I find it hard to believe it's been 25 years! Sometime back, Mary Mertz and I searched through our old guild newsletters to figure out when we formed the guild. That took some doing!
It's fun to think back to those early years. I was Raincross Quild Guild's first president and the next year, with the help of my daughter, Dawn, I published the guild's newsletter. A lot simpler in those days!
I'd like to take this opportunity to thank you, Cassandra, (and previous newsletter/blog chairwomen) for doing such an outstanding job collecting all our news and putting out a wonderful monthly blog! Even if I attended a meeting, I enjoy seeing the photos and reading what happened at each meeting.
Thanks, and I forgive your April Fool's joke! ;)

  18. I was just checking to see if I need to bring food, was bummed because it was probably too late to enter, then relieved when I saw the April fools.
