Our Fabulous Speaker last Month

We were privileged last month to have Gloria McKeehan of Redlands as our speaker and trunk show presentor.  She had a very interesting story to tell us about her life as a quilter.  And she does fabulous quilts having won prizes all over the country at Paducah, Road to California, the International Quilt Festival amongst others.  What amazed us all besides the beauty of her quilts and the workmanship  she made were the backs which  rated to be a quilt of their own - many truly inspiring whole cloth quilts.  We were in awe.  Here is one of her show stoppers:

    It is really fun to hear the stories of the quiltmaker and the quilts he or she has made. I really love everything about our guild, our fearless leader Jeri who is PERFECT.for her job, the nice ladies who belong to the guild, the challenges, the mysteries, sewing days and the opportunity to do something to give to others with our groups and projects like Friendship, quilts of Valor, baby quilts, etc but the endless inspiration from guests and our own talent in the guild is what draws many ofusback over and over again.
