A Sad Announcement

"It is with great regret that I must share the news that our sweet and spunky Alice Jones has passed away. She will always be remembered for her ageless wit and dry sense of humor! God gave her an amazing artistic talent, which flowed through her to china painting, sewing, quilting, baking and anything else she put her mind to.

Services will be held at the Riverside National Cemetery on February 15th at 12:30pm with a celebration of her life at her home afterwards. Please contact Linda A. for more information."
- Jeri R.

And please feel free to share your memories and stories about Alice here. If you have any pictures of Alice you'd like to share, email or text them to me and I'll put together a photo album for us all to enjoy.

Hug your loved ones today, tell them you love them. Every day is precious. Every one of you is precious, so don't you forget it!

  2. She was blessed to be able to do what she loved to the very end. Even when her doctor told her she had to stop sewing, we had even more Happy Bags from her. I'm so glad that I had the opportunity to be a small part of her life. Alice - please save a place for me at the great quilting table in heaven.

Oh NO! As soon as I saw the words "A sad announcement," I thought it would be about dear Alice. I miss her already! What a truly grand old dame she was!

I'm so sad to hear this. She was such a sweet and giving person and such a hard worker making those happy bags! She we truly be missed by so many people, just like Dawn Miller who is also missed.

  6. RIP Alice! See you on the flip side! Alice was the first person I met after Jeri Read when I started coming to Raincross. She was so friendly and happy. I discovered we shared the same birthday, March 14. She told me about her kids and how she helped them with the Calico Ghost Town. She always had a good story to tell. Alice you will be missed!
