Coming up this month July 2017 at Raincross

Here's your monthly round up of upcoming events this month at Raincross Quilt Guild, specifically what to expect at our next guild meeting and any unique events beyond the usual scheduled events*. And don't worry - I'll still post a reminder blog a few days before the meeting with your list of things to bring. :)

*Usual scheduled events include Sew Night, Friendship Quilters, Featherweight Club, and the RQG Board meeting. If you are interested in those events, please check out the guild Calendar and/or post in the comments below and we'll help you learn more about them.

Coming up at this month's Raincross Quilt Guild meeting...

Quilted Compositions Big Tote Pattern
It's Bag Lady/Gentleman night! Bring any lovely bags you've made to show off during our Show and Share period - or, get stitching and make something new!

Christine S. has challenged us to make and bring Rape Crisis Center bags - for each bag you make and donate, you will receive 2 free tickets to the July Mystery Box, up to 6 tickets!

Your Page 44 Challenge projects are due. Elly H. issued a challenge where you turn to page 44 in your favorite or nearby crafting magazine, catalog, or really any magazine and get inspired by something on that page. Make a quilt, a bag (!!!) or any item and bring it and the magazine/page that inspired you.

If you're participating in Cassandra's Row by Row Round Robin, your next row is due.

Other unique RQG activities coming up this month...

Bag Demos Sew Day, Saturday July 22nd, Janet Goeske Center, 9am - 3pm
Stephanie Z., Elly H., and Susan M. will be demoing how to make three nifty bags! We'll get the supply list posted as soon as possible. Lunch will be our standard Salad Potluck.

Hoffman Tour, Monday July 31st, Hoffman 7:45am - sometime in the afternoon
Evie is leading our Hoffman Tour again! For those who want to carpool, we'll be meeting at the back of the Sears parking lot at 7:45am.
